Chapter Brewing
March 2020: All pubs and bars in the UK had to close for what is now referred to, with hindsight, as ‘Lockdown One’. Amidst mass confusion on the definition of essential shops and other retail breweries suddenly had all their outlets floundering. For small breweries such as Chapter Brewing in Sutton Weaver, near Runcorn in Cheshire, this meant some serious adaptation.
Thankfully the brewery has survived all three lockdowns thanks to establishing a thriving webshop and, more recently, an outdoors Tap Room. Chapter are now back in full swing, with a newly expanded team, a refined webshop, and of course the return of Corvo, the brewery whippet. I was lucky enough to be at the brewery for two days of shooting to capture the team, their skills, and the back breaking effort behind each brew.
